Welcome to the Carpool Zone for York University staff, faculty and students. In just a few easy steps you can find other commuters to share a ride:

Click HERE to Register with the York University Carpool Zone group by filling out your profile
Enter the details of your commute trip(s) – with Carpool Zone you can enter a number of different trips to accommodate changes throughout your weekly schedule
Carpool Zone will search for your matches and provide a list of people on your route who are looking to carpool
When you find matches that suit your needs, suggest a carpool
If your suggestion is accepted, exchange emails with your new carpool partner(s) and arrange to discuss your carpool details
Start carpooling, and enjoy the savings on gas, riding in HOV lanes and reducing your commuting stress!

Your privacy protected - We do not share or sell your information. Your email address is only revealed to other commuters whom you decide to contact. If you receive an email through the website from someone who wants to carpool, it's up to you to respond to determine compatibility.

Accurate matching is a snap - We use precision addressing for the most accurate matching possible. Search options let you decide how flexible you are in terms of distance, driving times, and other preferences.

Carpool Zone at your workplace - A workplace-specific Carpool Zone is a program offered to workplaces who are partners of a local Smart Commute. If you are interested in a Carpool Zone "subgroup" for your workplace or school, contact your local Smart Commute for more information. The list of active Smart Commutes can be found here.
